You’ve Scheduled Your Free Estimate, Now What?

Office girl on phoneWhen you notice signs of foundation damage or water intrusion around your home, the best thing you can do is call in an expert.  We thank you for trusting AFS to provide an inspection and estimate for your home. We know that your time is valuable, and we want to give you some simple tips that will help you make the most of our time together.

Setting Up the Appointment

Our customer teams are on hand to help you with any questions you have prior to your appointment. They’ll ask some basic information about the signs you’re seeing around your home so that they can match you with the inspector who specializes in your area.  All of our inspectors undergo on-going professional development so you can be assured that we’re bringing you the latest technology for home repair.  Once we make the perfect match, we’ll schedule an appointment at a time that’s best for you.  Expect the appointment to take about 90-120 minutes.

Pre-Appointment Prep

Take some time to learn a little more about foundation repair and waterproofing, as well as about us. We’ll send you a book — either ‘Foundation Repair Science,’  ‘Dry Basement Science’  or ‘Crawl Space Science’  so that you can learn about the area of your home that needs repair before we arrive.  We’ll also send a profile of your inspector so that you know exactly who will be visiting your home.  Then, take some time to check out our Facebook page: AFS Facebook for the latest news and events.

When we arrive, we’ll take some time to introduce ourselves and the company, and then we’ll get right to work.  Our inspection will be thorough, and as we review our findings with you, we’ll likely have drawings or even photos to help illustrate exactly what our proposed solution entails.  You can ask us questions like:

  •  What is the best option for repair?
  •  Why is this plan better than [ alternate repair solution] or doing nothing?
  •  How long will it take?
  •  What can I expect during repairs? Will there be disruption to my property?
  •  Can you share an example of a similar project and what the results were?
  •  Do you have any references?
