BBB Names AFS an Ethics Award Finalist

[Huntsville, AL] –   The Better Business Bureau of North Alabama (BBB) hosted the 15th Annual Torch Awards for Marketplace Ethics ceremony on November 16, 2012.  More than 265 companies and non-profit organizations were nominated for the Torch Award and were given the opportunity to submit information regarding their ethical relationships with customers, employees and vendors. Forty-five companies accepted the nomination and submitted an application for the award.

AFS Foundation & Waterproofing Specialists was named a finalist for the Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics for a consecutive 3rd year (2012, 2011, 2010) in the mid-size business category. A prestigious panel comprised of representatives of the academic and business community judged the entries for the competition.

“This award is an honor that is shared by every single member of the AFS family.  From our team in the office to our crews on the work site, each one plays a role in exceeding our homeowners’ expectations every day,” said Ben Bayless, AFS President.

The Torch Awards program recognizes outstanding businesses and individuals. The Torch Awards are presented to businesses in recognition of their superior commitment to exceptional standards that benefit their consumers, employees, suppliers, shareholders and surrounding communities.

AFS Marketing Director Dale Johnson was on site at the BBB awards ceremony to accept the award.

“Foundation repair work isn’t easy work,” says Johnson. “In fact, it can be downright dirty work. But we’re proud to work as a team to raise the standards not only in the foundation industry, but in the entire home contracting arena.”
