[Huntsville] – On November 18, 2010, the North Alabama Better Business Bureau hosted its 13th Annual Torch Awards for Marketplace Ethics in Huntsville. The Torch Awards recognize local businesses who place top priority on ethical relationships with employees, customers, and vendors. Over 140 businesses and non-profit organizations were nominated for the award in North Alabama and 38 accepted the nomination and submitted an application for the award.
AFS Repair was nominated and was named a Finalist in the Mid-Size Company Category (26-99 employees). During the awards ceremony, AFS Repair was recognized as one of 12 companies to be named a Finalist in the awards competition.
The applications were judged by a panel of business and academic community leaders. AFS Repair Owner Ben Bayless Jr. commented, “We always ask our employees to “take the road less traveled” when it comes to ethical behavior on and off the job. That is, our team is continually committed to taking the high road, to putting in the extra effort, and to going above and beyond the call of duty. Foundation repair work & mold remediation is tough, dirty work. And putting forth effort that makes a customer say, “Wow!” service isn’t always easy.” Bayless further noted that all AFS employees treat each customer’s home as if was their very own whenever they are on a project site.
