For some Auburn Tigers fans, shouting “War Eagle” isn’t enough to show their support for their favorite college football team. First, orange and blue decorations start making their way into the home decor. Before long, an Auburn-themed fan cave has become one of the family’s #basementgoals.

In these top Auburn Tigers rooms, there are displays of fan photos, signed jerseys, murals, and more. Which basement do you wish was in your home?

1. Ultimate Auburn Fan Cave

This dimly lit fan cave is a great spot to gather on game day. The extensive Auburn decor leaves absolutely no doubt as to which team the homeowner is rooting for. There’s an Auburn rug, Auburn photos, banners, hats, jerseys, memorabilia, and more.

The owner says that the only thing missing from his Auburn room is an Auburn diploma. Here’s hoping his fan room holds sway with the college admissions office.

2. Auburn Fan TV Room

This Auburn fan has the perfect setup in his TV room with comfortable couches across from a big-screen TV. The full-wall mural of Jordan-Hare even makes watching the game from home feel like you’re at the stadium. The TV isn’t nearly as big as the jumbotron (a.k.a. Jaybotron) that was installed at the field by athletics director Jay Jacobs. That screen is 57 feet high by 190 feet wide, which is more square footage than most houses.

3. Auburn Basement Locker Room

We wish our basement had a curved staircase like the one leading to the Auburn locker rooms. The lighted logo on the ceiling keeps the team spirit alive, and the open room is a perfect place to enjoy a friendly game of pool or foosball.

4. Sports Room with Auburn Tigers Topping the Patriots

This homeowner loves his fan cave so much that he created a Facebook page for it. Several different teams and sports are celebrated on the fan cave’s walls, including everything from little league to the NFL. What struck us about the decor is that the Auburn War Eagle banner is displayed high above the New England Patriots pennant, perhaps revealing the loyalty of a true fan.

5. Basement Weight Room for the Auburn Football Team

The workout room for the Auburn football team gives us inspiration for what we’d like to do with our own basement gym. The equipment is all in team colors, and the high-energy murals provide enough motivation to keep the workout going with another round of reps.

6. Auburn Fan Room for Watching Games

When Gus Malzahn was coaching the Tigers, his wife Kristi would spend game days glued to the television. She watched the game from an elegant room that’s a mix of leather couches, navy walls, and wood paneling. The backlit AU logo on the wall presides over any game day cheers and jeers.

7. Ultimate Auburn Lounge for Watching Games

This impressive basement theatre was installed in 2010 as the Auburn football players lounge. Rows of Auburn recliners are arranged in front of a big-screen TV. A mural of tiger eyes is a fierce backdrop.

Want to Turn Your Basement into the Ultimate Fan Cave?

If your basement is only being used for laundry or storage, you’re missing out on a chance to make your own Auburn fan cave. Just imagine heading downstairs to watch the game, work out, or have friends over for some cold drinks.

More homeowners are looking to their basements as a way to add usable square footage. Homes.com reported that basements are a trending home feature with homebuyer demand for basements as much as four times what it was before the pandemic.

Before you start adding Auburn memorabilia and team decor to your basement, it’s important to assess the structure for moisture issues or flooding risks. No one wants to remodel their basement only to have it ruined by a flood a few months later. That’d even be a shame if it were a Bama fan with a Crimson Tide fan cave.

Luckily, AFS makes it easy to start a basement remodeling project. Experts can walk you through different basement waterproofing methods, and a free inspection can help you troubleshoot how to solve the structural issues that are unique to your home.
