Foundation problems destroy your Anniston home’s value and can be dangerous. Our in-house team of structural and geo-technical engineers are here to help. We design and install the right solution and usually have the project finished in less than a week. You will have peace of mind as we provide a 25-year written warranty against defects on our foundation products.
The sunken and cracked concrete around your Anniston home is both an eyesore and a safety hazard. It is also likely to get worse, but we can fix it for you.
Our experts use PolyLevel, a superior polyurethane foam. Small holes are drilled in the concrete, the foam is injected and the expanding foam lifts the concrete. The majority of contractors you will call use mudjacking instead of foam. Mudjacking is heavier, require larger holes in the concrete and does not last as long as PolyLevel. At AFS Foundation & Waterproofing Specialists, we pride ourselves on installing patented sump pump systems that were developed by Basement Systems®, Inc. The unique design features high quality, reliable materials. With this, they are some of the best cast-iron sump pumps and longest-lasting battery backup pumps in the industry. Our most reliable sump pump system, the TripleSafe™ Sump Pump System, provides three levels of protection for your basement. For normal functioning, the TripleSafe™ has a powerful, cast-iron Zoeller® ⅓ horsepower sump pump set at the lowest level. For heavy volumes of water or in case of primary pump failure, a second, more powerful Zoeller® ½ hp pump set a bit higher in the liner will take over. Rest assured, any of our sump pump systems will provide you with peace of mind for years to come.

Chris P. found himself in a bind when he discovered his basement was overtaken with water. Needing immediate professional help with his problem, Chris contacted Alabama Foundation Specialists after using them on a previous, unrelated problem. He was shortly met by waterproofing specialist Regan Williams at his Anniston, AL home to discuss solutions.
After evaluating Chris’ basement, Regan found that water was inevitably soaking through the foundation into the basement. To solve this problem, he recommended the installation of a SuperSump sump pump. The SuperSump is one the finest pumps available, pumping 2200 gallons per hour with an 8 foot discharge head. The inclusion of a WaterWatch sump pump alarm and IceGuard discharge line protection would ensure protection against water in the basement. Regan also recommended the installation of an UltraSump sump pump and WaterGuard XL drainage system. The UltraSump is equipped with a backup battery to allow drainage, even during a power outage, and the WaterGuard XL is installed along the perimeter of the basement to displace all water into a drainage system. Finally, he suggested the EZ Flow, which guarantees all water will be drained far away from the home.
Once the work was agreed upon, Regan called in his crew to install the waterproofing products. In the eyes of any homeowner, a clean and protected basement is one to be proud of. Chris’s basement is now well protected against future flooding threats and will stay dry.
When Anniston, AL homeowner Pam N. noticed one day that the walls of her crawl space were moist and parts of the flooring were soaked, she knew it was only a matter of time before this escalated into a very serious problem. Luckily, after searching for contractors in the Yellow Pages, she came across Alabama Foundation Specialists, whom she contacted after noticing their advertisement for free estimates.
AFS promptly sent out waterproofing specialist Jim Adams to survey Pam’s home. Upon inspection of the crawl space, John noticed that there was a bigger problem than just the flooding. John discovered that Pam’s foundation had begun to settle, allowing water to breach through the foundation and flood her crawl space. Although the problem was bigger than Pam had anticipated, Jim assured her that he knew exactly how to fix her problems.
Primary foreman James McGhee and his crew were called in to begin the repairs. The crew installed helical piers throughout Pam’s foundation. Helical piers are designed to help transfer the load of a home from the settling soil to the piers, to help prevent future cracking along the foundation. In the basement, Jim recommended the installation of a CleanSpace 20 mil vapor barrier and a SuperSump sump pump. This combination of products is perfect for expelling all unwanted water and ensuring that it does not return. The vapor barrier prevents the evaporation of ground moisture into the crawl space air while the SuperSump evacuates any water in the crawl space out through a drainage system. Finally, Jim had James’ crew install a SaniDry CX dehumidification system to prevent any accumulation of moisture in the crawl space.
After a quick three day installation process, Pam’s crawlspace and foundation was effectively protected from future threats, leaving her worry-free.
Discovering your home has a flooding problem is some of the worst news a homeowner can hear. Unfortunately, homeowner Brandon C. found himself not only having a flooding problem but foundation issues as well. Desperate for answers, Brandon began asking friends and family for a referral. He was given Alabama Foundation Specialists’ name and decided to call for a free estimate.
Brandon was met by foundation specialist Regan Williams at his Anniston, AL home. After evaluating the basement and the foundation, both inside and out, Regan knew exactly what the problem was. Regan explained to Brandon that the foundation supporting his home was beginning to settle, causing cracks along his home’s perimeter and allowed water to enter the basement and flood it. Regan recommended the installation of helical piers, which are driven along the foundation to transfer the load of the home from the settling soil to the piers. For the basement, Regan recommended a SmartSump sump pump. The SmartSump is designed with a unique lid that sounds an alarm to notify the homeowner when there is a plumbing leak or pump failure. Finally, Regan recommended the combination of an EZ Flow drainage system and a Lawnscape outlet to ensure any possible water is redirected far away from the foundation. With the recommendations agreed upon, primary foreman Victor Salgado and his crew were called in to install the foundation and waterproofing products.
Brandon no longer has to worry about the security of his home any longer, as it will stay dry and stand strong, thanks to the professionals at AFS.
