In 2000, Ben Bayless started AFS Foundation Repair & Waterproofing Specialists (AFS) out of his home garage in northern Alabama. In 2020, the Bayless family partnered with Groundworks, the nation’s leading and fastest-growing foundation and water management solutions company, to expand their business across Tennessee, Kentucky, Mississippi, and Georgia. AFS is a BBB accredited business with an A+ rating and was honored with the Angi Super Service Award in 2023. From the initial job survey and estimate to the final product, the AFS team of George, Kenny, Kevin and Isiah, were professional, knowledgeable, thorough and extremely capable. They did exactly what they said they would do and patiently educated me along the way. My crawlspace went from damp, moldy, smelly and dirty, to a clean, sealed and pristine environment that I can now enter with confidence. I would recommend anyone to AFS for a job done right!

Super service… able to reschedule concrete lifting job before originally scheduled. Parris Houghins and Benjamin Esparza kept us in the loop from the time to set out until they arrived. Parris explained the entire job, the approximate time it would take, and asked if I had any questions. I told him my concerns and he understood my requirements. He and Benjamin started and when finished explained what was done, how it was done, and asked if I had any questions or concerns. They even cleaned the work area and left the area spic and span! Two excellent workers are shining stars at AFS.

AFS team consisting of Kevin Calderon, Logan F, Oliver G, and Ashton S remediated my crawl space. In 4 days they removed insulation, sprayed for mold and mildew, pulled up the moisture barrier, installed drainage system along interior of crawl space, encapsulated the area. Installed two condensation drain pumps and dehumidifier. Finally installed new entrance door. Kept me informed throughout the project. Great job by a great team. JMD

AFS is a straight-up company. From the initial inspection by Fred, to the work being completed by Dillon and his crew, I could not have expected a smoother process. The skills and professionalism of each was way beyond what was expected. Dillon explained each process in detail and answered any questions or concerns I had. The finished product resulted in a house that no longer have doors that stick when opening and closing or floors that creak when walking on them, and is once again level. The clean-up when finished was a plus. They seeded and put straw down in the yard wherever their machine had been or they had been working. I would highly recommend AFS for any foundation repair work someone may need. You will not be disappointed. Thank you AFS for a job well done Allen & Sheron McGill Alcoa, TN
