Initial Review (will update once the work has been completed). Called AFS and was greeted by Alex on the call. Working with Alex to setup an appointment for estimate was quick. Day of the inspection Justin C. called to inform me he was available to meet a little earlier than planned. Justin was professional throughout tue appointment and provided a thorough analysis on the issue I would like addressed with the foundation of my home before it becomes a real problem. As part of the inspection Justin also inspected the entire foundation of my home including the crawlspace as well as in the living area for his analysis. Justin's thorough inspection as well as explanation of his observations on work needed to resolve any issues was appreciated. I decided to proceed with an agreement with AFS to perform work on the foundation of my home. I will update my review of AFS once the work has been completed.

AFS did a wonderful job. My kitchen was sloping. Neil Collins came out and gave me an estimate a reasonable estimate and when the guys came out, Stephen Gill and Sean came out to fix the problem. They put steel beams and jacks under the house and Jack the house up. I Was very satisfied with the work they did. They walked me through every step explained to me what they were doing and was going to do cleaned everything up And left my house looking better than it did I was very happy with the results. Awesome experience. I ran a laser in my house and found one corner had sunk 3.25" since it was built (late 70s). Called a few companies for quotes. One company didn't measure anything, just looked for cracks in masonry/drywall, and told me to use self leveling concrete. One room alone was 2.5" out of flat, and self leveling would've covered the sill plates on the walls… AFS actually measured, with calibrated equipment, and made a map of the house with measurements and proposed pier locations. They were timely with the quote, and getting a crew out to perform the work. I signed the waiver, and asked the crew to not just stabilize, but to lift my foundation on the helical piers and see what inconsistency we could take out. They were cautious, and I told them to keep going as we monitored. We ultimately got the worst room (2.5" out of level from corner to corner in a 10'x13'room) to within a quarter inch on the 13' wall, and an eighth on the 10' wall! Yes, it's more expensive than doing nothing, or using other systems. But it was totally worth it. Any remodeling work in the future would have required fighting every step of the way with other solutions. I.e. ceiling heights inconsistent. Walls bowed or out of plumb, no 90 degree corners to be found. Definitely glad I paid a bit to do it the right way. And it only took them 1 full day to do it all (7x piers).

Aaron Jernigan is the man! He came out after a severe flooding took place in my crawlspace due to a busted city water pipe, removed the standing water, retaped my vapor barrier, and made sure my sump pumps and dehumidifier were still functioning at optimal levels. Even while booked up, he still was able to squeeze me in to take care of my home. I appreciate his professionalism and efficiency. AFS has a rockstar and his name is Aaron!

We have used AFS Huntsville for a few different projects on our 40+ year old house. The teams have always been professional, polite and responsive during our dealings with them. The work they perform is always to a high standard, with pictures and any necessary explanations provided. We have maintained a maintenance schedule with AFS, with them performing annual inspections of the clean space, support beam and dehumidifier. Two recent projects AFS has accomplished are the addition of a second entrance to our crawl space and a support post to lift a set of floor joists located over the opening in a support wall. We highly recommend AFS Huntsville for any foundation, driveway or crawlspace projects you may have.

We had requested a quote for basement water proofing and when we did the quote included new gutters which was a total surprise due to the low cost. Jeff Stewart and Christian Rudd did an excellent job and are two very hardworking individuals. They stayed well past dark to complete as much work as possible. They walked the house with my husband and explained what would be best for our drainage and worked hard with only one break all day! The next day when they returned they took time to complete the job and cleaned everything up and we couldn’t tell they had been here. Their product is very high quality and improved the appearance of our home. I highly recommend AFS and crew for any gutter needs!

I worked with Wade Seller on a home project and was impressed from the start. Wade is a straight shooter who doesn’t try to upsell you on things you don’t need. We had moisture seeping through the concrete slab at our front steps. Wade provided a complimentary inspection, and after assessing the issue, he told me they could take on the project — but recommended I try fixing it myself first to save money. He explained exactly what to do and what materials to use. When I ran into issues, Wade made himself available and offered additional guidance on how to move forward. He reminded me that his team could still take on the project if I didn’t want the hassle, but it would definitely be more economical to do it myself. I sincerely appreciate Wade’s honesty, direction, and availability throughout the process. If you’re looking for someone who’s going to shoot it straight and genuinely try to help, I highly recommend Wade for any foundation work you may need.

I recently had my crawlspace encapsulated by AFS, and their team did a fantastic job. The team quoting the job spent a good 2 hrs inspecting and reviewing the options. Then they sent Evan, Aldo, and Jorge to do the install. These guys knocked it out in a day and half, and did it with a great fun loving attitude. It looks beautiful under the house, water is draining to the sump pump, dehumidifier is keeping everything nice and dry. They cleaned up after themselves and left everything neat and tidy.

The real measure of a company is not how they behave when all is well, but how they treat their customers when everything goes pear-shaped; and that's exactly what happened in our case. Sometimes you get a bad crew, a small group of ne'er do wells who simply don't perform. It happens. It happened to us. However once upper management found out what was going on they didn't hesitate to swoop in and make everything right, and that at a substantial cost to themselves. Concrete work is bloody expensive no matter the size of the job and, although we're just one small residential account, we were taken seriously and all repairs were done professionally and at our convenience. I can't praise these people enough for how they chose to behave when the chips were down, and I highly recommend them both for their skill and their commitment.

AFS crew, James Allison(Foreman), Tyler Perez(Co-Foreman), and Gabriel Dullca(Installer) did an outstanding job installing a water removal system and complete encapsulation in our crawl space the past two days. They removed all items from the work area and hauled off old junk items, fallen insulation, and old visqueen. They worked hard from start to finish, always courteous, cooperative, timely, with great communication…very professional. Highly recommend.

This interaction started with a negative, but was resolved so well that anything less than a 5 star review would be a lie. I was supposed to have someone come by and inspect my foundation on 02/07/26, but no one arrived. I informed the company of this on Sunday and received a follow up email from their customer service department almost immediately asking for more details. They took full ownership of the error (even though it was a simple matter of a calendar not updating), and I received a phone call from Dakota Roden first thing Monday, who apologized for the error and rescheduled the inspection. He called roughly 40 minutes prior to the appointment and assured me that he would be there as planned. He was professional, courteous, and explained the work that needed to be done and the options to do it incredibly well, and more than made up for what ended up being a completely understandable accident. They provided a discount that they didn’t have to give, but one for which I am incredibly grateful. I believe that how a company resolves issues is a much better gauge of their integrity and professionalism than doing so when everything is going well. I cannot recommend AFS of Knoxville, and specifically Dakota, more highly.

From the rep to the techs everyone has been very knowledgeable, professional and communicative. Every step through the process everyone at AFS has been great to work with. We needed major repairs done in a very short crawlspace and the team that came out was done a little ahead of schedule and walked us through every step of the way. They were on time each day and walked us through every step as they were working. We highly recommend AFS, and we still have another area we need addressed and will be hiring AFS to resolve it.

I just got my crawlspace repaired by AFS and they did a great job. Two guys, I think their names were Levar and Osario, undid what a previous crew had done, and then got everything squared away. If you’re getting work done by AFS, you want these two to do it. While they worked, I could hear them joking around, and considering they were in wet and freezing conditions, I knew they loved their job. It all looks great and performs its purpose. Thank you!
