From the rip I was impressed with AFS. I learned about the through an Instagram ad and they made it super easy for me to let them know that I was having problems with my crawl space. I filled out a thing on instagram and within minutes someone from AFS called me. After that an inspection was scheduled and that's where we met Paul. Paul was awesome, super professional but laid back just enough to make us feel super comfortable, and we never felt like he was trying to up sell us on anything. He communicated very well throughout the entire process and even hooked us up with an electrician that they use for jobs (SES). He was really a top notch sales person. Then the guys on the job. AFS has an excellent communication system that sends you texts with links to where the crew is at when they are headed your way and even it even lets you know that the crew has arrived at your location. The job for us took 3 days and it was super smooth. Alex, Sam and Braxton did an excellent job doing the work, cleaning up and being very professional. They even stayed late the last night on the job to wrap it up and even though they didn't leave until about 9:30 that night the site was cleaned up to the point that you wouldn't even know that they were just working there. All in all I can't recommend AFS enough. 10/10 we are very satisfied with the entire experience!

Hi! This is Mona from Taylorsville and I would like to tell you about my experience with AFS Foundation repair and waterproofing. I would like to say my meeting with Alex Parker-a specialist with AFS-, was a great experience. I thought I might be having some foundation problems with my home. I googled and found AFS. I made a call and spoke with Katrina. She was quite pleasant to speak with, very mannerly and really understanding. She asked a few questions and immediately wanted to set an appointment the very next day. Shortly after I hung up the phone, Alex Parker gave me a call. He was the gentleman that was coming to do my inspection. I really was anxious on how the meeting and inspection would go…afraid I would be talked into something very expensive, mainly because I didn't know if I had issues or not. Needless to say, Alex was very thorough in his inspection. (almost 2 hours)…He came back in the house wanting to show me the pics he had taken and he was very quick to set my fears at rest….nothing majorly wrong. I immediately thanked MY JESUS for answered prayer. I also let him know I had been praying so hard that there would not be an expensive situation that I could not afford. I learned that Alex also led his life pleasing the Lord as well as his customers. I would recommend Alex Parker anytime to someone looking for foundation, concrete repair or waterproofing. A very nice and caring young man.

Charles Halmark is an exemplary example of the perfect employee. This man was on time and did every inspection by the book and then explained everything in detail. This was the best explanation of things going on under our house that I have ever heard and he made it all make sense. AFS you need to keep this guy around!!! AFS as a whole is a great company also. The barrier that they laid in our crawl space still looks new after several years. The sump pump is still working when it needs to and the dehumidifier is also still working great. Thanks AFS!

We recently had AFS come out and inspect for a possible foundation issue. Caleb arrived as scheduled and explained what he was going to do. Took about 1.5 hours to complete and he gave us the good news that we didnt actually have a foundation issue. It was a problem with the stucco finish. Rather than try to push a non existent problem he said it would be ethically wrong for him to do that. Character and trust in AFS was gained that day and will be quick to advise others to use the company if they need assistance. Thanks Caleb again for your time.

I had several companies over the last 30 years do work in my crawlspace to correct the problems of excessive moisture and mold which was…
I had several companies over the last 30 years do work in my crawlspace to correct the problems of excessive moisture and mold which was affecting the air quality in the living area of the house. Also the high humidity levels were causing decay on some of the floor joists and fungal growth on ALL of the floor joists. The treatments that these companies tried were ineffective. I wanted to solve these problems once and for all. I contracted with AFS and they did the following did the following work: 1. Installed underground drainage around the inside perimeter of the foundation wall. 2. Removed the fiberglass insulation between the floor joists and applied a fungicide to eliminate the mold and mildew. 3. Sistered the rotting floor joists with new wood. 4. Installed a new steel beam underneath the rotting floor joists even though they had just been sistered. This guarantees that the floor above will never sag. 5. Installed four new piers on the inside of the lowest point of the crawl space to prevent any of the foundation from sinking. 6. Installed a sump pump that drained to the outside and away from the foundation. 7. Installed a commercial grade dehumidifier. 8. Those are the major items but there may be a few other things that I am not remembering. The crew did an excellent job and was in an out in just three workdays. I am certainly well pleased with thew work which they did and would like to single out Alex the crew leader and Jacob who was one of the workers. There were sometimes four workers on the crew and those men also did an excellent job. The new crawl space is truly a thing of beauty. This was an expensive job and the question that you would ask is, "Was it worth it?" The answer to that question can't honestly be answered for many years. But judging from both the high quality of the products used and the high quality craftsmanship of the workers, I feel confident that final answer will be, "Yes, it was worth it!"

EDIT for 2026: The five star review still holds from the previous review below, years later after the original work. On an annual service and inspection, Josh Whitt just did our service. This gentleman is extremely knowledgeable and thorough. He even took the time to explain everything and took some excellent readings and pictures of the work. 100% customer confidence. This is the level of work we expect from someone who does the work on one of our most important things, our home. Josh communicated great from start to finish. Well done from start to finish. We appreciate your service. Initial work review (4 years ago): The AFS team is excellent. We have a pretty large amount of work that needs to be done at our house, to include sump, dehumidifier installation, ,general contractor wood work, and encapsulation. Dustin Loeb did a great job estimating the work, and did not hesitate to come out and take another look at something or answer any questions we had. I cannot say enough about how fantastic the communication is with AFS. From when the work was to begin, to when the crews are going to be there, to any updates or any changes that would be necessary are very clearly communicated in person or by a phone call. Special mention to the AFS crew that has been working at our place this week: Richard Warner and Nick Lee. I was greeted every morning by Richard who told me the plan for the day, and at the end of the day showed me pictures of what they were working on under the house and how things were looking. The crew takes great pride in their work, and pays attention to detail, communicating everything they do. And that's something I appreciate. We still have some general contractor work to do, and then encapsulation after that. I'm looking forward to AFS finishing up and keeping up the excellent work!

AFS did a great job from inspection to completion for my very humid crawlspace, house support, and encapsulation. Kyle did the initial inspection, very thorough, took his time, and was very accurate with each suggested need-to-do when I got a second opinion. I would highly recommend AFS for all of your foundation, crawlspace and basement needs/concerns. My wife and I had our crawlspace inspected after some concerns we noticed and needed a subject matter expert to answer our questions. Spencer Colson (Certified Field Inspector) showed up less than 48-hrs after scheduling. We were presented with a very professional and detailed assessment of our crawlspace (with pictures and yes, they were pictures of our actual crawlspace). He explained the step-by-step process that is utilized by AFS and even educated us on equipment he used to perform the inspection. We were glad during the process that he was not trying to sell us anything, but actually gave us a trustworthy assessment and recommended what needed to transpire from a preventative maintenance standpoint. We are very pleased with the results of his inspection and his above and beyond attitude to address all concerns.

Tanner prepared a clear printout of our home and walked us through each concern step by step, explaining what he found and what repairs may be needed. I had Mason come out to inspect the foundation on a house I’m in the process of buying, and I couldn’t be more impressed. From start to finish, Mason was extremely professional and took the time to clearly explain the entire inspection process and exactly what he was looking for. He performed a thorough assessment, including detailed measurements of a basement wall that had horizontal cracking, and his measurements clearly showed what the wall was doing structurally. What I really appreciated was that Mason was not pushy at all and didn’t try to scare me into an expensive or unnecessary repair. He laid everything out honestly, explained the findings in a way that was easy to understand, and provided a clear solution. The recommended fix was also far more affordable than I was expecting, which was a huge relief. If you’re looking for a foundation inspector who is knowledgeable, honest, and straightforward, I highly recommend Mason. He made a stressful situation much easier to navigate.

From start to finish, he was extremely professional, punctual, and communicative. He confirmed our appointment the day before, called when he was 15 minutes away, and arrived right on time. Justin took the time to clearly explain the inspection process, made sure I understood what he would be looking at, and asked thoughtful questions about my concerns and goals.
