We had quotes from three different companies for encapsulation and foundation repair but went with AFS as they caught a couple things the other companies did not. Also, we liked the heavier duty product they offer for encapsulation, plus an air tight/insulated crawlspace door. Nikoli E, Caleb B, Ivan G and Christian P. did a great job and left the crawlspace neat and tidy. Nickoli was very communicative and has the most excellent customer service skills of any contractor I've ever worked with. They did not promise they could lift our floor to level but in the end, it looks and feels almost level! We were pleasantly surprised. Thanks for a great experience!

My history with AFS spans several years and multiple technicians, supervisors, and managers. Throughout that time, we’ve worked through a long and challenging effort to stabilize an interior wall, with many visits and repair approaches along the way. This most recent visit, however, was different. Nick D'Esposito, Adam McBay, and his crew — Josh, Bailey, and Wayne — were able to accurately diagnose the underlying issue, place the right support equipment in the correct locations, and spend the necessary time fine‑tuning the adjustments. Their work eliminated gaps in the moldings and significantly stiffened the floor near the problem wall. These gentlemen are a true asset to AFS and to the customers they serve. AFS’ (Groundworks) Senior Leadership Team in Virginia could learn a great deal from them when it comes to communication, customer satisfaction, and follow‑through. I look forward to seeing Adam, Josh, Bailey, and Wayne again soon for the final adjustments.

They aren’t even finished with our project yet, they’re about to end day 1/2 and I am impatient and just had to say this. My husband and I are newlyweds. We are young, inexperienced with contractors, and we were nervous because all we hear about are horror stories of people who come to work on something at your home. These guys are beyond incredible. The entire company is obviously so competent, professional and passionate. Everyone from Ben Sizemore who gave us 4 HOURS OF HIS TIME to sit down with us and go through every detail of this project, down to the foreman Trent Baker who headed up his team of 3 guys as they’ve spent the entire day working. I’m blown away by everyone’s kindness, cleanliness, professionalism, etc. and these are young men!! They all deserve raises, compliments, and when (not if because you must) you hire them, go to the store and buy them snacks and drinks. They deserve it. I wish this company did regular home renovations because it feels like it can only go down from here haha! Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for making our very first home improvement a wonderful experience. I’m so beyond grateful. I’ll update my review after they’re all finished. I know it’ll be even better tomorrow. 🤍

I have an approximately 20 year old home that sits on a full basement. Over the years I noticed a crack developing on one wall. So I called AFS to come have a look and give me an estimate on repairs. Inspector / salesman Steve McGahon called and scheduled an appointment within 24hrs. On our scheduled appointment he was on time, very professional and extremely knowledgeable. Once the contract was signed and deposit was paid we set an installation date. Luckily for me they had a couple of projects moved around and got to me a few days early. Installation crew (CJ and Kieth) called to verify appointment and of course were right on time. As The installation crew prepared the worksite CJ identified an unforeseen problem with the intended plan of action. As I am no engineer by any stretch of the imagination, CJ Explained why it would need to be done a different way. She took her time to explain and show me alternative options. CJ is friendly, knowledgeable and very professional; you can tell she actually cares about customer experiences. I cannot say enough about CJ and Keith as installers. CJ and Keith kept a clean and safe work environment And worked in a very methodic rhythm. I cannot say enough about the quality of craftsmanship that CJ and Keith exude. Definitely 10 out of 10 would recommend AFS for any of your foundation needs.

I need to apologize to Gavin and Jonathan for not writting this review soon enough, I simply got tied up and forgot until I found the review form. I do hope they can still win any company benefits because they were the best workings I have talked to in a ling time. Informative of the steps, respectful and careful of my property and of course doing the job quicker than I could get pictures of it. And unfortunately I cant recall the Project Managers name, but his card is here on my desk somewhere, and he was very helpful on working with me on raising my porch. A previous company told me they had a minimal cost of $1,500 for the foam injections, where AFS did the whole job for a little over that amount as they do so much, they have no minimal charge. He also told me the 3 jacks I had been quoted by other services was not needed (I knew that, but he confirmed my knowledge and earned my respect by telling me the truth). So hopefully all 3 will win any company benefits for this, I very seldom give 5 stars, only when a company fully exceeds my expectations. At least now I do not have to worry about my porch falling into the abyss.

The Forman Gerald and his crew did a great job and were very polite! They showed me the finished work and answered all my questions. They also cleaned up everything!

Nick Cianciolo with AFS in Nashville came to my home today for the annual inspection. I noticed some issues with my flooring and bought them to his attention. After his inspection, he made a detailed plan to resolve the issue and explained everything in detail so I knew exactly what caused the issue, but more importantly how to correct the problem. Nick was meticulous and even found a slight plumbing leak during his inspection. He is a true professional and a great asset to AFS.

Alan Nunalee was prompt, courteous, thorough, and informative, when he came to inspect our crawlspace today. He informed us of significant problems with moisture and mildew, and how AFS would deal with the problem. He took pictures of the issues, and drew up a floorplan of our house, showing where the work would be done. He secured a military discount for us, and a very good interest rate. Used laser lights to see the offset of my foundation. Nate is very professional and I highly recommend anyone to use Nate for an inspection of your basement and foundation.

We recently scheduled an inspection with AFS, and Wade was our specialist. I cannot recommend him highly enough. He conducted a thorough inspection of our home, evaluating concerns related to mold, condensation, and airflow. Throughout the process, he provided detailed explanations, inspection data, and clear insights into his findings, ensuring we fully understood both the issues and potential solutions. What stood out most was his honesty and integrity. He took the time to address all of our concerns without ever attempting to sell us services or products we didn’t need. His approach was professional, transparent, and genuinely focused on helping us make informed decisions. In addition to his expertise, Wade was incredibly personable and kind to both my spouse and me, as well as our children. He made what could have been a stressful experience feel comfortable and informative. We truly appreciated his knowledge, sincerity, and professionalism, and we look forward to doing business with him in the future

I waited a month to see how the short term results of the work they did would look and hold up. So far, I am very pleased with the quality of work, the price, and the service. Parris Houchins & Bug Boyd were very hard workers, outstanding with their customer service, and brought it down into terms that someone not familiar with foundation work could understand. I would definitely recommend them if you need a reasonably priced solution to your foundation problems.
