We had AFS come and give us a free quote. (All in all, we got 3 quotes, from 3 different companies. First quote was for $127k, 2nd quote: AFS quoted $58k – inclusive of a 10% off coupon received at time of quote, and 3rd quote: they said they couldn’t handle the job, we need to use AFS.) We had a pretty unique situation, where we were in the process of purchasing the home with the foundation issue, which AFS was kind enough (and patient enough) to make sure it worked out for us at a way later date! Once the day came for the work to start, the team, Alex, Kyre & John, arrived on time and all had a great disposition and enthusiastic attitudes! We were excited to see the process and they explained what they were doing along the way. They were very kind, well-mannered and did a fantastic job! They cleaned all their mess and even reseeded the area in which they dug, (which I wasn’t expecting that). Prior to their arrival, the cracks in our foundation were large enough I could stick my entire hand and arm through to outside! But upon completion, I can’t even fit a chopstick through it! They also encapsulated our entire crawlspace, including mold treatment and sump pumps and dehumidifiers. What was once a muddy crawlspace, that had eroded to the point of lowering FEET over time, with its own ecosystem growing, is now a usable, clean and safe crawlspace. The process is fascinating to watch and the end result is even better! The fact they offer a Lifetime Warranty for their work gives me the security I need to sleep at night, knowing my investment was well placed. So happy we chose AFS and even happier our home is fixed!

Eric helped inspect our crawlspace and answered all our questions about AFS and what they could do to help us. His consistent and clear communication made the process very easy. Jackson and Mikey completed the entire job in a day, and the quality of the work is outstanding. They made sure to show me their completed work after they finished to make sure my questions were answered. They were very thorough and did a great job cleaning cup after the work was finished. We had Ian come out to inspect the crawl space of the house we just bought. We knew it was a mess, and he was able to give a full explanation of problem areas to be aware of such as mold and mud lines from trapped water. What I loved about him was how he was willing to work with our tight budget and come up with a solution that would work for us. I had such confidence about the purchase and how it would protect our home and health.In October, Justin, Nate, and Riley did the work of cleaning out our mess of a crawlspace, and explained the process to us so we knew what to expect. They were so cheerful! I lost my husband down there for 30 minutes as he inspected the work, and he came out saying how nice it was now. The moldy smell is gone, and we're breathing better. We have gotten compliments on having it done since they finished their work.

Great experience. After many calls and research. I was pretty sure on price estimate, what needed to be done, equipment needed, etc. I'm in Calhoun County in a 96 y o house with sagging floors. Finally Tatum and Tatum in Opelika referred me to AFS after I told Anthony what I was looking for and they don't do it. So I called and Susan was great on the phone. Seth Thomas was out inspecting the flooring/crawl space the next day and the day after that, Breon, JT, and Mauro came out and completed the job. It was like watching a choreographed dance. Then within hours Seth called to see how things went as did Neo Rivas, the crew's Field Supervisor. You just don't see customer service like this much anymore. I cannot recommend AFS more highly. Don't waste your time calling anyone else. PS Also they came in 700 dollars less than the price I had estimated, I was pleasantly surprised.

Jacob Wattenbarger came to the house and inspected our house for foundation issues. He called the house to let us know he was on the way about 20 minutes before he arrived. We walked through the house and I pointed out all the issues in the house like cracks in the ceiling sheet rock and with storage closet doors that were sticking. Jacob checked all the areas I was concerned about with a laser level and did not identify any issues he would attribute to a foundation problem. Jacob also inspected the crawl space for any issues and he identified a floor joist problem that needed some repair but no foundation problems. Jacob was very pleasant and answered all the questions we had concerning issues with the house. I would give him a 5 Star rating.Dave Leckie.

When Dan arrived, he took the time to assess the foundation issues that we were having and explained that this was more of an issue than what we were led to believe. My husband and I just purchased an older home and were unpleasantly surprised of the condition of the crawlspace on our inspection report (see screenshot attached in the photos – this space was almost a deal breaker on buying the house because of the mold). After talking to AFS, we decided it was best to treat the mold then fully encapsulate everything for 1. storage 2. long-term energy savings and 3. (most importantly) cleaner air to breathe in every day. Ben, Angel, Mario, and Israel did an amazing job on our large crawlspace (see other pictures)! What was supposed to be a 2-day job was completed in 1 day and all questions we had about the work were answered instantly! We are incredibly happy with it and feel like a huge weight has been lifted off our shoulders as new homeowners!

We had AFS encapsulate our crawl space almost five years ago. It was expensive but we were very pleased initially. Over the years, however, I realized the installers lapped the ground sheets incorrectly directing all the water flow onto the top of the next downhill sheet. This put all the pressure of holding the water on the tape, which did not hold after years of getting wet. Our service technician Ty could see the problem immediately when I told him my concerns. He spent an unbelievable amount of time re-lapping every joint. He did an AMAZING job and I now feel totally confident that my AFS encapsulation will do the job for decades to come. Ty also took the time to explain the control panels of the sump pumps and dehumidifier so I can reset the alarms that occur when it has to go on battery back up, a fairly common occurrence in rural Alabama. Thank you Ty. You are the best.

This is the second time AFS has helped us out, the first time was roughly 7 years ago and the basement repair continues to hold up well. This time they tackled a large concrete driveway leveling and crack repair project. Property located on the side of a ridge-line with a very long and steep driveway. Parris, “Bug” and team did a great job. Clear communication, perfection oriented quality, always polite, and stayed on budget. Concrete pour is over 30 years old, I have no doubt that we probably have extended our surface for another 30 years. Thank you, great job.

Super understanding, flexible, and went the extra mile to help me out making sure we weren't getting in each other's way. Dan made sure to communicate very clearly when they would be on site, what they were doing each day, and made sure he made time for all my questions.

I am so impressed with this company and the guys that do the work (Archie, Brad, Adam, Nate and the crew that did the install of interior waterproofing system as well as our production manager and the initial meeting with Kristofer)… The professionalism, kindness, care to details, communication, they were an overall great group of people to work with! I could not be more happy with the work that was completed… It was so neatly done and I just really appreciated their honesty throughout the process with everything, always available to answer any and all questions. We selected this company based on reviews and were worried if we were going to make the right choice for such a big, complicated project and from start to finish I’m blown away! I would recommend this company to anybody- it wasn’t easy and they showed up on time, every time, and with smiles on their faces!

First off, Jason J. Stoughton is phenomenal!! A good company has to have a good team. We’ve been ripped off in the past from contractors, and it was hard to trust someone else to come in and do any type of repairs. Jason was very thorough in his assessment and took his time explaining what the issues were. I can actually say I was beyond impressed with the outcome! The whole crew (Evan, Roberto, Handyman Legend and the entire crew) were amazing and very supportive. They got straight to work. They explained what they were going to do and answered any questions that we had. I felt like part of the AFS family more than a customer. Thank you Jason and the crew for taking good care of us. The house has been in our family for generations and it means a lot to our family. I would highly recommend AFS and will be using them in the future.
