I recently had Jarrod Kingrey from Alabama Foundation Specialists (AFS) out for a service call, and I can’t say enough good things about him and the experience! Jarrod arrived right on time, was extremely professional, polite, and clearly takes pride in his work. He thoroughly inspected our foundation/crawl space, explained everything in plain language walking us through exactly what was going on and gave recommendations for what would need to be done in the future. His knowledge and attention to detail were impressive—he spotted things we never would have noticed ourselves and gave us honest, practical advice. What really stood out was how courteous and respectful he was the entire time. He cleaned up after himself, protected our property, and even took the extra time to answer all our questions patiently. In a world where service calls can sometimes feel rushed or impersonal, Jarrod made us feel like our home truly mattered to him. I contacted three companies to get an evaluation of my home's foundation. AFS Inspector Johnathan Gleason provided a thorough review with photos of areas that need repair and also measured the level of my floor inside my house. His quoted price was reasonable and fair compared to the other two estimates I received (though not the lowest). The thoroughness of the inspection and recommendations from neighbors won AFS the project. The work was scheduled at my convenience and the team called 30 minutes before arrival. Their three-man crew consisted of Mathew Ridley, Coby Stealey, and Shawn Lowe who arrived on time and set to work quickly and efficiently. They completed the majority of the work in a few hours, but decided to substitute a wooden support beam with a steel I-Beam to give the repair more structure. This required a trip back the next day and was completed in a short time. They did not charge extra for the more expensive steel beam. This project was well-organized and well-executed. Good communication throughout and sincere concern for the customer. A very pleasant, and refreshing experience. I recommend AFS and my team to anyone who needs foundation work well and priced fairly. I had high expectations for AFS when I hired them to seal our crawlspace and they far exceeded them on every level. The installation team they sent was absolutely exceptional. They were friendly, professional and extremely efficient. The job was done perfectly and a day and a half early! Tyler and Kayode (and their trainee) kept communication lines open, worked diligently and cleaned up completely afterwards. It's been my experience that this is an excellent, trustworthy company. Recently had crawl space work done by AFS. The install crew led by Javier along with Quincey and Reynaldo were wonderful to work with. Javier's timely and thorough communication was top notch. All three never seemed to slow down or take a break for the entirety of the two full day project (other than a lunch break each day). Unlike other groups I have had working on home projects (who try to rush the sign-off) Javier took the time to show me every aspect of the completed project to make sure I was satisfied. Thanks!

I just had Wade Siler come take a look at my house's foundation. We were seeing cracking in the corners of our doorways and on our garage door. Wade checked every corner of our house's foundation, all around our troubled areas. Come to find out the foundation was in good shape. He proved it with a laser level. The interior issues appear to be from vibrations in the house causing the cracks. The drywall needs some expansion joints. The issues outside around the garage door are from the lintel beam sagging. Again, he proved it with the laser level. Wade was super honest about everything and I highly recommend him coming out to take a look at your house even if you have just the slightest concern about foundation issues. Thanks Wade!!!!

I had such a bad problem with my flooring collapsing in on itself with mold damage and a broken girder. I had an amazing crew of Mike Truelove, Austin Hitchcox, and Chris Smithe who came out and worked above and beyond in some of the worst weather conditions and temperatures. They did a great job on a very tough job and i left completely satisfied and excited to enjoy my new floors. My only remark would be that the demolition of existing walls and studs could’ve been done a little more carefully, making repair and replacement easier. I would recommend this company.

This is the second time AFS has helped us out, the first time was roughly 7 years ago and the basement repair continues to hold up well. This time they tackled a large concrete driveway leveling and crack repair project. Property located on the side of a ridge-line with a very long and steep driveway. Parris, “Bug” and team did a great job. Clear communication, perfection oriented quality, always polite, and stayed on budget. Concrete pour is over 30 years old, I have no doubt that we probably have extended our surface for another 30 years. Thank you, great job.

Tanner prepared a clear printout of our home and walked us through each concern step by step, explaining what he found and what repairs may be needed. He was professional, patient, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all of our questions without rushing. We truly appreciated how thorough and respectful he was during the inspection process. As a single person, I put off this project for fear I would get taken as there are so many horror stories. These guys were up front, including Mason who bid the job, kind and informative. They arrived when they said they would and exceeded expectations for my project. Even when the project time exceeded projections they worked on into the evening and on their Saturday. I am always skeptical when getting quotes from businesses and I am always on the defensive. Today was a great experience. Aric was extremely thorough and knowledgeable. He walked through the entire process and the options that were available. There was a lot to look at and inspect but he never appeared rushed. You can tell he takes great pride in his work and the company. I would absolutely recommend this company and Aric to anyone . Look forward to working with him on this project.

The crew from AFS were fantastic! Russell, Angel, Carman were great, they took the time to explain what they would be doing and how. Chris (foreman) stopped by to help and make sure we were happy with the progress and work being performed. We had AFS to level our kitchen floor in our 1931 bungalow that sagged over the years, now the floor is level and ready for the remodel. They made the recommendation to install two beams and I'm so glad we did. Floor is perfectly level.

Hi! This is Mona from Taylorsville and I would like to tell you about my experience with AFS Foundation repair and waterproofing. I would like to say my meeting with Alex Parker-a specialist with AFS-, was a great experience. I thought I might be having some foundation problems with my home. I googled and found AFS. I made a call and spoke with Katrina. She was quite pleasant to speak with, very mannerly and really understanding. She asked a few questions and immediately wanted to set an appointment the very next day. Shortly after I hung up the phone, Alex Parker gave me a call. He was the gentleman that was coming to do my inspection. I really was anxious on how the meeting and inspection would go…afraid I would be talked into something very expensive, mainly because I didn't know if I had issues or not. Needless to say, Alex was very thorough in his inspection. (almost 2 hours)…He came back in the house wanting to show me the pics he had taken and he was very quick to set my fears at rest….nothing majorly wrong. I immediately thanked MY JESUS for answered prayer. I also let him know I had been praying so hard that there would not be an expensive situation that I could not afford. I learned that Alex also led his life pleasing the Lord as well as his customers. I would recommend Alex Parker anytime to someone looking for foundation, concrete repair or waterproofing. A very nice and caring young man.
