AFS Sponsors The Exceptional Foundation’s 20th Annual Chili Cook-Off Fundraiser

Delicious food and a chance to raise awareness and funds for an amazing cause: count us in! AFS Foundation & Waterproofing Specialists’ Birmingham office was proud to be one of the Spicy Sponsors of The Exceptional Foundation’s 20^th Annual Chili Cook-Off.

Held on March 2, 2024, at Brookwood Village, we provided information about our company and participated in the tasty competition as the Alabama Chili Specialists! We were among the Top 50 Teams determined by competition judges, as well as the Top 10 People’s Choice!

Event proceeds directly benefit The Exceptional Foundation’s programs. This year was a huge success: 151 teams competed, more than 13,000 people attended, and more than $520,000 was raised!

The Exceptional Foundation offers a range of social and recreational activities throughout the year for individuals with intellectual disabilities, serving both adults and children. Programs are designed to promote healthy lifestyles, enhance life skills, foster social connections, and encourage community engagement.

The organization aims to support participants, their families, and their caregivers by providing a secure and nurturing environment where their loved ones can flourish.

Based in Homewood, AL, The Exceptional Foundation provides full-day programs for adults, after-school activities for school-age children, and summer programs for youth.
