AFS Sponsors EXIT Realty Landmark Julia Grace Foundation Pickleball Tournament

Community activities, especially a little friendly competition, have the power to bring people together and let strangers become neighbors. When our AFS Foundation & Waterproofing Specialists team heard about a special local fundraiser, we jumped at the chance to be involved.

Our Mobile-based team sponsored the EXIT Realty Landmark Julia Grace Foundation Pickleball Tournament. Rain delayed the fun-filled event by a day, but games resumed on June 2, 2024, at the Daphne Tennis & Pickleball Complex.

Realtors & Community Members Who Care

The tournament, in its first year, was hosted by EXIT Realty Landmark. Based in Foley, AL, the more than 20-person team handles all real estate needs throughout the greater Mobile area.

The local EXIT Realty office continuously participates in efforts to give back to the community through the Spirit of EXIT Charitable Program.

AFS has a charitable program, as well: Goodworks. While we are in the business of repairing and protecting homes, realtors are an important piece of the home buying and selling journey; partnering together is a natural fit.

Hitting the Court for a Good Cause

Proceeds from the doubles tournament benefitted the Julia Grace Foundation. In fact, through the Spirit of EXIT Charitable Program, EXIT Realty Corp. International matched the net funds raised by EXIT Associates up to $4,000.

Established to carry forward the memory of Julia Grace Ashworth of Spanish Fort, the Julia Grace Foundation focuses on initiatives that encourage outdoor engagement, environmental responsibility, and community involvement. The organization strives to instill a passion for nature in youth, extend assistance to those facing hardship, and increase public knowledge about mosquito-transmitted illnesses.

The approach involves collaborating with organizations aligned with Julia’s interests, backing educational initiatives, and developing platforms to disseminate information on safety precautions against Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) and related diseases. Through these efforts, we aim to perpetuate Julia’s spirit of adventure and compassion, creating meaningful change in people’s lives.

At AFS, we believe in returning the blessings we’ve been given. It was an honor to support the pickleball tournament and a wonderful cause.
