Today I had an appointment with Jordan from AFS. I had some problem with my crawl space and I needed to know what it was and how much it would cost to fix it. Jordan looked at the rotted subfloor and the mold growing under the flooring. He examined the crawlspace and took several pictures of what he found. We sat down and through conversation, videos and pictures he explained exactly what he found and what caused it. Jordan then laid out the options, costs and his recommendation for remediation. I was very impressed with his professionalism, knowledge and excellent interpersonal skills. If you are in need of foundation/crawlspace work, I highly recommend contacting AFS for a free consultation and quote.

Excellent communication. They explained the work and showed me the initial helical pier being installed. Bobby, David, Aaron and Jacob are a highly skilled, professional and knowledgeable team. Dylan who performed the assessment of my house was highly skilled, professional and knowledgeable as well. This was a very good experience and an OUTSTANDING JOB was done. I would choose AFS/Mobile again and request the same team.

EDIT for 2026: The five star review still holds from the previous review below, years later after the original work. On an annual service and inspection, Josh Whitt just did our service. This gentleman is extremely knowledgeable and thorough. He even took the time to explain everything and took some excellent readings and pictures of the work. 100% customer confidence. This is the level of work we expect from someone who does the work on one of our most important things, our home. Josh communicated great from start to finish. Well done from start to finish. We appreciate your service. Initial work review (4 years ago): The AFS team is excellent. We have a pretty large amount of work that needs to be done at our house, to include sump, dehumidifier installation, ,general contractor wood work, and encapsulation. Dustin Loeb did a great job estimating the work, and did not hesitate to come out and take another look at something or answer any questions we had. I cannot say enough about how fantastic the communication is with AFS. From when the work was to begin, to when the crews are going to be there, to any updates or any changes that would be necessary are very clearly communicated in person or by a phone call. Special mention to the AFS crew that has been working at our place this week: Richard Warner and Nick Lee. I was greeted every morning by Richard who told me the plan for the day, and at the end of the day showed me pictures of what they were working on under the house and how things were looking. The crew takes great pride in their work, and pays attention to detail, communicating everything they do. And that's something I appreciate. We still have some general contractor work to do, and then encapsulation after that. I'm looking forward to AFS finishing up and keeping up the excellent work!

Wow! I am on the building and grounds Committee for our church and what started as a flooring moisture problem was discovered to be a crawl space moisture problem. With a complete inspection from Abe Austin he showed us our problem source and how we could remediate for the future. The encapsulation crew of John Jones, Anthony G. And Gavin P. were clean and professional all the while keeping us informed. We also had a foundation problem on the corners of our Sanctuary that AFS, with the crew of Cesar Moreno, Juan Zumora and Meguiel, placed helicals to lift and stabilize the foundation. We could not have asked for a better job, crew or price. Our church is now ready for future generations. Thank you so much for a job well done.

What a great experience we had with AFS. Our initial contact was with Matt White who explained the problem with our home and the solution needed. He was informative, knowledgeable, and personable. And then we had a terrific crew doing the installation of the piers. Our crew of John, CJ, and Romello were outstanding. They were professional, friendly, hard workers who cleaned up after each day. They kept us informed of their progress and answered our questions. When a problem arose, they came to show us immediately and let their management know what had happened.

The technician Emmett W, that came to my house for my yearly inspection, was also one that worked on the installation of my encapsulation last year. I was shown the pictures that he took and he explained them all to me. He told me that I may want to consider changing the pumps in my crawl space with no pressure to purchase new ones. What a delightful personality he has! He was very cordial, polite and thorough. Along with the inspection we shared stories, a snack and a hug. You must be very proud to have him as one of your techs. If all your technicians are as well trained and pleasant as he was then you have an amazing team. I definitely look forward to seeing him again in the future. Thank you Emmett. (If there were ten stars, that's what I would give him. )
