I bought a house that had some renovation work done in the basement a few months before I moved in . A sump pump system and a vapor barrier had been added. Unfortunately, the seller didn't leave me any information on any of this, other than I was able to find out that AFS did the work. The sump system wasn't working right and I also just needed to find out some information on what work had been done in general, so I called AFS to ask some questions. I ended up being put in contact with Brandon Bailey from AFS. Not only did he send me some general information on the work that had been done, he personally came out to my house to fix up the sump system free of charge, and answered my questions about other future work on the house I was considering. This all surprised me with how much they were willing to help me out even though the work was all done well before I moved in, and has definitely earned AFS a future customer.

I recently had Jarrod Kingrey from Alabama Foundation Specialists (AFS) out for a service call, and I can’t say enough good things about him and the experience! Jarrod arrived right on time, was extremely professional, polite, and clearly takes pride in his work. He thoroughly inspected our foundation/crawl space, explained everything in plain language walking us through exactly what was going on and gave recommendations for what would need to be done in the future. His knowledge and attention to detail were impressive—he spotted things we never would have noticed ourselves and gave us honest, practical advice. What really stood out was how courteous and respectful he was the entire time. He cleaned up after himself, protected our property, and even took the extra time to answer all our questions patiently. In a world where service calls can sometimes feel rushed or impersonal, Jarrod made us feel like our home truly mattered to him. Jackson, Mikey and Michal did a fantastic job stabilizing my house. They had to add 23 posts and steel beams all throughout a house built in 1962. The house before they came had developed a very shaky floor system and had sank 3 inches in some areas. It is now solid. I am really pleased with their work and their timeless. I give them 5 perfect stars plus some. I highly recommend AFS.

AFS is a fantastic company. From our first meeting with Bryson to discuss the crawlspace issues all the way to getting the work done everything went smoothly and professionally. Micah, Shawn and Kayden are excellent at getting the supports put in and beams placed. The difference is unbelievable. We are so thankful. It was a difficult week with all of the noise, but it had to be done and these guys made it much easier for us. Explaining everything as they went along. It was fun to hear them laughing and singing while they were working, too. When they were done they even cleaned up!

AFS installed a basement drainage system and sump pump for us. It’s allowed us peace of mind as we continue to finish out our space. Now we can rest assured that mold or flooding will not ruin our investment. Nikoli E., Josh S., Caleb B., and Christian P. we’re all extremely friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. They performed the job quickly, leaving the area clean and ready for our next steps. It looked like hard work, but they certainly had wonderful attitudes and made it look easy. I highly recommend if you need water mitigation services from people who will treat you well and address your issues with expertise.

I recently used AFS to complete waterproofing and stabilization in my basement. I am so pleased with the work that was completed, and everyone I encountered throughout the process was amazing. Seth, who did the initial inspection and completed the proposal, was professional, knowledgeable, and always available to answer any questions I had. Alexis handled all of the paperwork; she was prompt, courteous, and very attentive to my needs and concerns. Cesar, Miguel, and Luciano completed the work for us in just two days! They were so polite, professional, and very hard working! Cesar kept me informed of everything that was going on throughout the process and answered any questions I had. They completed all of the work with precision and left the area looking neat and clean. If professionalism and customer service are important to you, go with AFS! I can't recommend them enough.

I had Mason come out to inspect the foundation on a house I’m in the process of buying, and I couldn’t be more impressed. From start to finish, Mason was extremely professional and took the time to clearly explain the entire inspection process and exactly what he was looking for. He performed a thorough assessment, including detailed measurements of a basement wall that had horizontal cracking, and his measurements clearly showed what the wall was doing structurally. What I really appreciated was that Mason was not pushy at all and didn’t try to scare me into an expensive or unnecessary repair. He laid everything out honestly, explained the findings in a way that was easy to understand, and provided a clear solution. The recommended fix was also far more affordable than I was expecting, which was a huge relief. If you’re looking for a foundation inspector who is knowledgeable, honest, and straightforward, I highly recommend Mason. He made a stressful situation much easier to navigate.
