I recently had Jarrod Kingrey from Alabama Foundation Specialists (AFS) out for a service call, and I can’t say enough good things about him and the experience! Jarrod arrived right on time, was extremely professional, polite, and clearly takes pride in his work. He thoroughly inspected our foundation/crawl space, explained everything in plain language walking us through exactly what was going on and gave recommendations for what would need to be done in the future. His knowledge and attention to detail were impressive—he spotted things we never would have noticed ourselves and gave us honest, practical advice. What really stood out was how courteous and respectful he was the entire time. He cleaned up after himself, protected our property, and even took the extra time to answer all our questions patiently. In a world where service calls can sometimes feel rushed or impersonal, Jarrod made us feel like our home truly mattered to him. If you’re in the Birmingham area and need foundation repair, waterproofing, or routine service, ask for Jarrod Kingrey—you won’t be disappointed. Things went as discussed when I decided to hire. Carlos, Julio and Margarito called before arriving and kept me informed of their start time. Their communication through the whole process was exceptional. At one spot it seemed we might have had a bigger problem than anticipated, Carlos a team implemented a plan and brought it all together. Great work friendly guys leave things the way they were before they arrived. You do have to pre your landscaping cause you can’t expect them to replant it. I moved what I was worried about ahead of time. Or I should say my daughter got it for me. I had bypass surgery an couldn’t get it done. Thnx for the great job guys. AFS needs to hold on to y’all.

From the day the original AFS representative inspected my leaking basement, presented me with a quote, and sent out an installation crew to complete the installation I have been totally satisfied. My basement is now totally dry. No longer do I have to endure the very embarrassing continuous damp, moldy smell and water in my finished basement. I agreed to a 5 yr. annual inspection program as part of the original contract. Today, Tony Marlowe from AFS performed a very thorough foundation inspection, as well the pumping and dehumidifier equipment. I found Tony to be, not only very knowledgeable of his product, but also to be very personable and respectful; the type of individual I would welcome into my home at any time. Although I still had onone more year left on my original contract, I decided to extend the inspection program another three years.

Uriel, Bryce, and Austin were amazing! The corner of our home was sinking due to age and an old tree root rotting underneath. I didn’t think the amount of sinkage was that bad, but the difference was crazy! They communicated with me the whole time, and explained everything thoroughly after the job was completed. An added bonus we didn’t ask for, they took the old root out and dumped it for us!

Great experience. After many calls and research. I was pretty sure on price estimate, what needed to be done, equipment needed, etc. I'm in Calhoun County in a 96 y o house with sagging floors. Finally Tatum and Tatum in Opelika referred me to AFS after I told Anthony what I was looking for and they don't do it. So I called and Susan was great on the phone. Seth Thomas was out inspecting the flooring/crawl space the next day and the day after that, Breon, JT, and Mauro came out and completed the job. It was like watching a choreographed dance. Then within hours Seth called to see how things went as did Neo Rivas, the crew's Field Supervisor. You just don't see customer service like this much anymore. I cannot recommend AFS more highly. Don't waste your time calling anyone else. PS Also they came in 700 dollars less than the price I had estimated, I was pleasantly surprised.
